Our country is home to the largest environmental industry competition in Central Europe.
Hungary was the home to the largest environmental trade fair in Central Europe.The Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo and World Meeting was a joint event of sustainable development of the Visegrád countries. In the Expo (29 November - 5 December 2021), 183 large companies, educational institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, startups represented the V4s.
Through the presentation of various innovative solutions, as well as scientific panel discussions and professional consultations, the exhibitors presented the different opportunities that may be essential for maintaining the sustainability of our planet in the future. Participants came from different areas of the environmental industry, such as water management, waste management, energy, food industry and transport. Through a series of programs and the selection of excibitors participants had the opportunity to gain an insight into the homes of future as well as to learn about new methodologies. Eg: how to was a car with only a couple of hundreds of millimeters of water as well as the clean and recyclable solar space.
