CLIMATE ACTION WILL IMPROVE THE CONDITION OF FORESTS IN HUNGARY ON AN AREA OF 100 HA IN 2024

At a press conference, we presented our project called "100 HA – HUNERDŐ", during which we will carry out restructuring on 100 HA forest area in 2024.

The 100HA - HUNERDŐ project is an outstanding and large-scale environmental initiative for Hungary and Climate Action. This initiative is not only about renovating existing forest areas and thus improving biodiversity, but also plays a major role in the fight against increasingly urgent climate change. Forests are one of the biggest carbon sinks in nature, effectively helping to reduce greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere.

The green areas renovated by the 100HA - HUNERDŐ project are not only important for preserving biodiversity, but also contribute to mitigating local and global climate change. This initiative can serve as an example for other countries and encourage them to launch similar large-scale environmental projects.

We are improving designated forest areas in Hungary in cooperation with Hungarian State Forest Holdings and Hungarian private forest holdings, and with these climate structural changes we improve the biodiversity of forest fragments and increase forest performance. In the project, Climate Action calculates the efficiency of the carbon sequestration capacity of forests based on a calculation developed with the help of the Forest Science Institute.Through the implementation of the project, we realize long-term value creation for Hungarian society. The aim of the project is to address as many social strata as possible and show them that this is one of the most important topics of our time.

Our interactive project the 100HA – HUNERDŐ is available to all sectors of Hungarian society, which we implement with the involvement of individuals, multinationals, large and small businesses, educational institutions, associations, sports federations, local governments, and last but not least, supporters and sponsors.

The entire area of the project is measurable, achievable, realistic and future-proof, through the implementation of which we realize long-term value creation for hungarian society.

The press conference was held at the Kilenc Kert restaurant in Budapest, which will play a major role in the future as part of our project, as restaurant owners Szabolcs Horváth and his partner Réka Gubinyi, committed to environmental protection and sustainability, continue the same approach during the operation of Kilenc Kert.

As part of the project, the GREEN BURGER was conceived and created, which will have a permanent place on the menu, so guests can also contribute to the success of the project.
