This collaboration marks another important step in our mission to support the long-term sustainability transformation of Hungarian sport. We believe that sustainability should be embedded across the entire sports ecosystem, including parasport, where social impact, inclusion and long-term resilience play a particularly important role.
Building on International Best Practices
As part of the project, Climate Action will conduct an extensive review of international best practices by analysing the sustainability strategies and programmes of leading National Paralympic Committees worldwide. The strategy will also be developed in line with the sustainability recommendations and guidance of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Our objective is to create a practical, measurable and future-oriented framework that supports the Hungarian Paralympic Committee in integrating sustainability into its everyday operations and long-term strategic planning.
A Collaborative Approach
We believe that meaningful sustainability strategies are created through collaboration.
Throughout the project, Climate Action aims to engage the key stakeholders of Hungarian parasport, including athletes, sports organisations, national federations, clubs, event organisers and commercial partners. This collaborative approach will help ensure that the strategy reflects the needs, ambitions and opportunities of the entire parasport community.
Transparency will also be a key principle of the programme. During the coming months, we will regularly share project updates, international insights and key milestones to encourage dialogue and inspire further sustainability initiatives across Hungarian sport.
